News: You gotta love politics

ABC news published a story at abcnews.go.com that illuminates the simple statement: you got to love politics.

Allen's campaign has pored over the six war novels Webb — a bestselling author — wrote from 1978 through 2001, and cobbled together a list of ribald excerpts that Allen has argued on the campaign trail are demeaning to women.

The excerpts have been quoted on talk radio and included passages such as this one, from "Something to Die For":

"Fogarty watched a naked young stripper do the splits over a banana. She stood back up, her face smiling proudly and her round breasts glistening from a spotlight in the dim bar, and left the banana on the bar, cut in four equal sections by the muscles of her vagina."

I don't think it is too off-base to claim that Allen might be slightly off message when he starts using his opponent's fiction novels, which have gotten fairly good critics I might add, and rip out pieces from it, way out of context, trying to use it against him.

Hopefully he will (and that is coming from someone who would be more likely to vote republican than democrat in the first place if living in the US. Situations like these makes me wonder why they haven't found a better candidate).
